I have a hard drive, installed with vista, from an old laptop and I want to run it as an external hard drive on a laptop with windows 7. I have been using hardware from another external hard drive to run it through a USB, but my laptop won't recognize it. I'm looking for any suggestions or links on easy ways to run it.

best case scenario: retrieve all the files off the old hard drive and run it as an external
acceptable scenario: retrieve all the files off the old hard drive
