Is this a good gaming PC?

Asked: Is this a good gaming PC?

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Intel-Core-i5-35

I know nothing about gaming PCs, I'm having severe attention span problems the past couple of months due to stress.. So learning really isn't an option right now. I was wondering if this would be a good PC for someone who wants to play BF3 on the highest graphics and stuff.

Also, would it be too hard for a beginner to run/upkeep? I'm fine with computers, but I know nothing about GAMING computer upkeep and stuff..

Too much cached RAM on my PC ?

Aug 5, 2012   //   by Administrator   //   Blog  //  No Comments

Asked: Too much cached RAM on my PC ?

Hi , here are my computer specs:
Intel Core i5 2500k 3.3Ghz
8GB DDR3 RAM
500 GB HDD
Geforce GTX550Ti 1GB DDR5
I had a question about the RAM , when I access the task manager it says that total RAM is 8GB out of which 1.73GB is used , and around 6.4GB is cached and im left with around 500-600MB of free RAM , what does this mean and is this a bad thing ? I usually use my PC for heavy gaming like Battlefield 3 and NFS The Run , Assassin's Creed Revelations…will the cached RAM be a problem in playing these games ? I have no heavy softwares installed just basic softwares like Avast Antivirus , Utorrent , Power ISO , VLC media player , Google Chrome..
Please help me out thanks , im concerned about the RAM that's available for the games icon smile Too much cached RAM on my PC ?

Need a 500w+ PSU for graphics card?!?

Jul 23, 2012   //   by Administrator   //   Blog  //  No Comments

Asked: Need a 500w+ PSU for graphics card?!?

I have been looking at a few graphics cards and the one that caught my eye was the Nvidia Geforce gts 450. It's good enough for my gaming needs. However the drawback of this card is that it requires at least a 400w power supply unit, whilst I have 300w. I need some suggestions for PSU's which can run this graphic's card, with at least 500w or higher at around 40 which is good. Or I've heard that the Radeon 6670 HD can run on a 300w power supply. However, this card has a bus interface of PCI express 2.1 and my motherboard has a PCI express 1.0 x16, and i heard they won't work as good as a PCI Express 2.0 or 1.0 cards. So will this graphic's card work fine to play games like Call of duty 4 and 6, and Battlefield on high resolution with low to medium settings without burning out the PSU, or am I better off buying a new PSU off 500w or more. If so then I need suggestions of trusted PSU of 500+ at around 40. My specs are:
Intel Core 2 Duo at 2.20 Ghz
2GB Ram
300w PSU
Help please anyone!
