Weight loss help pleeease?!?
wendy Asked: Weight loss help pleeease?!?
Recently I've gained about 10 pounds, and prior to that I lost about 20, so in conclusion I really only lost 10 pounds. I was really motivated before spring holiday to lose weight and I did, but wasn't completely satisfied with my overall weight loss…I really wanted to lose 30. Now I'm kind of going back to old habits and don't have the energy to get myself physically active. I remember It feeling so great after an hour jog but now I've kind of regressed into a sedentary lifestyle and it's really making myself feel negative towards my body image. It is already summer and I'm semi apprehensive about getting out there, but there's nothing really I can do about that now…I mean, given that it's already here, there is no panacea that can help me to look and feel great by tomorrow. Basically I just need some advice to get motivated to lose weight, but I want to do it in a healthy way. I currently weigh anywhere from 135-140 pounds, and I would really like to lose about 20 pounds by at least the end of August. Is this a reasonable, healthy goal or am I way in over my head? How can I be motivated to not crave chocolate or over eat? How can I gain the energy to wok out like I did before spring holiday. Also, what would be a good plan for me to follow that will help me to not gain this weight back? What is a good calorie intake that will help me to reach this goal…foods that are beneficial…and even exercise routines that you know of…anything you can think of that has helped you or others or that you would recommend would be great. Thanks so much guys.
Also..what kinds of foods should I avoid?
and how often should I be exercising (what are some really good fat/calorie burning exercises?) and how many minutes a day?

You know what I am just like you I hit the gym for 3 months I was doing great lost 20lbs then for the last month I've been slacking, I know that if you are going to hit the gym you might want to do some weight lifting because muscle burns fat also on the treadmill do intervals run for around a minute then walk for 1 minute then repeat for 30 minutes it's called interval training and is really good at burning fat. Also I was watching the Dr. Oz show and this method is so hard to do but take your showers with really cold water because that will trigger your brown fat which is the good fat to make you lose weight but that one is really hard to do lol, I'm sure all the shivering that occurs is what is burning all that fat
for starters i would try to pre-determine chocolate/sweets/any-junk-food consumption if you don't think you can cut them off right away. like decide you can have 1 piece a day at first, then 1 piece every other day, then 1 just on the weekend days, etc.
something that helped kick me out of a sedentary lifestyle was making sure to do some mobility exercises/stretching on days that i knew i wasnt going to actually work out or run. this would be something even as simple as doing jumping jacks for a couple minutes or just doing some stretching.
if you want to lose the weight while staying healthy id say try to limit most of your carbs to before and after you work out or do something active. If you take carbs out completely you probably wont have energy and wont feel like doing anything active
best of luck
