the King of the Divan Asked: What would you do in my situation?

I got away from my ex-girlfriend after finding out she cheated on me while I was ill, on my birthday party on Christmas Day. She did it with my best friend and you know, I just said nothing and texted her that it was over. Granted, it was over I guess for a couple of months, she just kept treating me like a ***** and terrorizing me psychologically. It was like she was on her period the whole year through, so to speak.

So anyway, that was over, and I vowed to myself I'd never fall for anyone again. And of course, as it goes with these things, I met this nice girl in the park like a year ago or something. I was painting my warhammer models (they are Wood Elves) in the park on a bench, and she came up to me, sitting down next to me saying "you know, I'm more like a High Elf lady, myself. Did you know that High Elves and Wood Elves go along wonderfully?"

We then spent the afternoon discussing Warhammer and so on, and I had a great time. She asked me if I wanted to have a coffee in the pub down the street. I turned her down and walked away. The week after that she was there again. So we started talking and became quite good friends. She knows about my ex-girlfriend and she was the one crying when I told her what happened.

So we started doing things together, like travelling, jogging, swimming, shopping for a new outfit for myself, and so on. She's a great laugh and a nice person altogether. She's cooked for me on several occasions, and on more than one occasion I've spent the nights in her apartment (on the couch). She's even given me a key to her apartment as she pointed out the city can get quite dangerous after dark and I should see her apartment as a 'quick save'. She's a gamer as well.

So I think she might like me, but I am hesitant to give in since what happened with my ex girlfriend. I'm torn apart inside. On the one hand I dig her, but past experiences don't let me go all out with her. What would you do in my situation?
