Why is there clear mucus and white spots in my dogs stool?

Amanda Asked: Why is there clear mucus and white spots in my dogs stool?

We "rescued" a Boston Terrier from an animal rescue.He has a lax sphinter (sp?) muscle so he poops without control.In the past month, sometimes he has runny stool and tonight there were 3 throw up spots (we think it was throw up), one spot on the tile that looked like pee (though my husband said it was runny poop) and 3 spots of soft stool (that is normaly solid).In the 3 spots of regular poop that was soft (not solid like it has been) there were white spots in it.Most of his poop has these white spots.In ALL areas of the house tonight there was an ENORMOUS amount of clear mucus.Any suggestions??Our other Boston whom we've had for years was and is fine.Are there any suggestions of what this might be?He acts normal and healthy and runs and plays with other dog….
